This Guda Double tongue pan has one side tuned in African (pentatonic) scale and the other side has Tonusx tuning. You can play them solo or even both simultaneously. African is very bright and universal scale - pentatonic scales used in differen styles of music all over the world, it ideal for fast playing and improvising. Tonus is a major scale, it is multi-purpose scale and promotes a good mood for player and listeners

The first side (with double tongues) has a full loud sound with huge sustain. The second side has more percussive sound with wooden-like tones and also has rich sound with long sustain (single tongues resonate with double tongues on the first side so you have the feel of playing double tongues but with more articulated sound)
